8TH GUP COURSE CONTENT

Two Tone belt 1/2 yellow 1/2 orange represents the changing of the body from old to new.

Review previous techniques

In 1/2 yellow 1/2 orange belt training you will learn…

  • Stances: Back stance, t stance
  • Moves: outside block(t-stance), knife hand strike, palm heal strike, elbow strike, knuckle strike.
  • Kicks: review of front snap kick and side kick (with power and speed) introduce round kick, crescent kick in and out
  • Tae Geuk Il Chong – Form #1 “Heaven and Light”
  • Drills: step block strike, step block kick
  • One steps beginner, 1- challenge 2- punch – 1- ABC’s – (first 5)
  • Self Defense: basic release, wrist, lapel and neck
